Jackie Chan, your friendly neighborhood master of kung-fu comedy, and Leehom Wang, an American-
born actor/writer/director/singer/songwriter, star in this heartwarming and occasionally heart-
wrenching period adventure. Chan plays a cowardly foot soldier who comes across an unconscious
general from the opposing army (Wang). All he has to do is get back to his home state with the
general still intact and he’ll be released from military service and return to his family. Or, that’s the
plan. Together the two men battle assassins, thugs and each other in an effort to make the long trek
unharmed. Along the way they discover a little more about their reluctant partners, and a lot more
about themselves. In production for over twenty years, LITTLE BIG SOLDIER is a departure for Jackie
Chan, yet he won’t disappoint his old-school fans with some familiar maneuvers.
